The Servant’s Room

Gesindestube At this place 40 guys and females have room for dinner, party and being happy. Order your meals so that the tables are crowded with food and the wooden benches bend under your weight. But do not remove the flail from the wall, otherwise it will hurt you. And pay attention to the devil who is observing you from the fireplace.

The Study

StudierstÃ¼bchen It is not a place for learning, but for drinking. Because of the meagre construction you have got the feeling of being alone with your comrades. The room is designed for 8 honourable people. After having a large meal it might happen that your belly got bigger and you have problems to leave this room. Wise sayings from several centuries can be seen on the wall.

The Councillor’s Room

Ratsherrenstube It is the right place for 25 handsome people. The walls are decorated with the coats of arms belonging to noble families- so it is the perfect location to invite important business partners or if you seek for a place to be alone with your sweetheart. But do not stare at the passing girls.

The Seclusion

Klausur There is room for 35 guests, enough for troublesome events, like wedding or christening. While having a breathtaking view over the valley of the river and the Old Waterworks you have diversion and do not have to look at your mother-in-law all the time. The advantage of this place is that you are very close to the innkeeper who will bring you beer very quickly.

The Monastic Kitchen

KloserkÃ¼che The name of this location describes the programme- as long as food is available in the kitchen the servants will wine and dine you. This place was empty only once- during the construction. Do not hesitate: come in, take a seat and open your mouths so that the specialities of the house can find the right way.

The Monastic Garden

Klostergarten Sit down at the tables and on the wooden benches which are put up here for 50 people. Enjoy the convenience of sitting outside and enjoy the wonderful view and look at some of the sights of Bautzen that is more than 1,000 years old. Encourage the servants to be faster so that you do not have to wait too long for your beer but do not forget to pay the bill, otherwise you will be caught by the executioner.
